Rochas Okorocha goes gangster on Peter Obi's aide

Did you read about the drama that ensued between Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state and Governor Peter Obi’s aide?

Well, just in case you missed it, Okorocha  who arrived at the 80th birthday celebration of former vice president, Alex Ekwueme  in Enugu and made to sit on a particular seat but a protocol officer attached to Governor Peter Obi refused to allow him seat; this so enraged the seemingly quiet governor that he found himself playing Van Damme on the fellow; giving him a punch before he realized what was happening.

The reports have it that the man was surprised because he didn’t expect such from the governor but more drama occurred when a police officer attached to the bomb disposal unit in Anambra state, Mr Felix Alumona pushed Okorocha when he tried to remove the tag having Obi’s name on it.

Na so Okorocha aide, Gabriel Onu pounce on the Police man o! He beat the man and then went on to tear his uniform. Other security details attached to the Imo state governor joined in the fisticuffs but Okorocha ended the wahala when he asked to share the seat with Obi.

PUNCH reported that Okoroha’s aides grumbled saying, “Why is it that anywhere we go, they always reserve a special seat for Obi. Is Okorocha not the leader of Ndigbo?”.

It baffles me that my governor will be pushed to act violent and the fact that his aides made such a statement beats me. Is there a silent beef between these two governors? It sure sounds like there is but whatever the case,  would an aide treat a governor that way just because of a seat?

His actions may have pushed Okorocha to do what he did but I certainly didn’t expect such from my governor sha!
