Why do you go to church on Sunday?

People go to church for various reasons. Some to worship God, some to fulfill all righteousness while some others actually go to church to show off.

I have met a number of people especially ladies who go to church to show off their new attires.

How we lie

Lying is the best form of deception. As much as we all hate to be deceived, we do it on a daily basis to others with the little lies we tell. We lie so much that sometimes, we do not know we are telling a lie.

Nobody can claim to have stayed a day without lying. It is even recorded that the holiest person tells at least seven lies a day.

This vice is one that has, from the beginning of time, caused chaos in every facet of our existence. Homes have been broken through lies; friends lost through lies; careers shattered through lies and the list goes on.

Is it true that ugly men don’t cheat?

Do looks have anything to do with being faithful in a relationship? I still wonder as I do not think so.

Every day I hear/read things that make me want to roll on the floor in laughter. Recently, I read on a website the many benefits of marrying an ugly dude.

According to this website, when you are too beautiful as a woman and you are scared of being cheated on by an equally good looking man, go for an ugly guy. They said ugly men outnumber beautiful women.

Finally, the victorious paralympic team get deserved awards

President Goodluck Jonathan yester-night hosted the victorious Nigerian Representatives to the 2012 London Paralympic Games at the presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.

The president during the event gave a cash prize award of N5 million, N3 million and N2 million respectively to each of Nigeria's Paralympic Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.

The Olympians who returned without any medals will receive a cash reward of N500, 000 while officials will get N2.5 million each.

Our young men of these days in Naija are not smiling  when it comes to selecting a wife o!

You know, back in the days the last thing a man worried about when selecting a wife was what job she was doing; but these days, the reverse is the case.

I was chatting with a male colleague the other day and he spoke of being ready for marriage. When I asked if he had found the woman he intended to marry, he said he hadn't and would love to meet any friend of mine that was single. When I told him about one, the next question he asked was, ‘ where does she work?’

Ermm.... What prison is Farouk Lawan held in? Oh... I forgot, he still roams free. I have often times dreamt of that day when the polithievians that loot are punished and in that dream, a little baby who is about 3 months comes to me and says " Wake up, you are having malaria dream"; in shock I ask the baby why he is speaking when he is just a few months old, and he tells me that my type of dream can even force a day-old baby to talk.

Hmmm, pikin dey tell me say I dey 'ro nro iba' ( dream malaria dream) sake of say I dey think wetin be like impossibility.

Nigerians, humour and creativity

Have you noticed how creative Nigerians are? We think up things within the twinkle of an eye and do not care who we make caricature of, even the president.

When Mohits splitted, there was a caricature made by some individual that was funny. Then few weeks ago, Sanusi decided to 'bring smiles to our faces' with his announcement of the N5000 note and the ever creative Nigerians used photo effects to again depict the note even before its been printed.

Actors in Muhammad movie trailer say they were ‘duped’

Wow! The actors of the movie that spurred the violent attacks that led to the death of U.S diplomats say the lines aired weren’t theirs.

They say it was a voice-over replacing their original words.
