Baby kidnapped from church by choir member

While lots of women are praying to God for the fruit of the womb, some others are busy stealing people’s kids. Women, please trust no one with your child even if it’s a church member.

Comfort Amos, a member of the church choir in RCCG, Central Parish, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja on Sunday, kidnapped 9month old Oluwatoniloba David Obafemi.

Baby Toni’s father, Timothy Taiwo Obafemi is the Deputy HOD of the choir and it is said that Comfort Amos, 41 sat with the nursing mothers in the church on that fateful day. She sat really close to Mariah Toyin Obafemi, the mother of the boy and the Sunday school teacher.

Suspecting nothing especially since Comfort was a dedicated church and choir member, Mariah allowed Comfort to carry and play with Toni.

Comfort stood up after a while and said she wanted to give her house-help offering money in the children’s church. She left carrying Toniloba and never came back.

When minutes started creeping to hours, Mariah being uncomfortable with the prolonged absence of her child went looking for Comfort but she was nowhere to be found.

When Wole Shonibare, a fellow church member called Comfort, she said she was in Jabi Park but when asked to return the baby, she vehemently refused.

She is still at large with the baby and was last tracked to Shendam, Plateau State.

Please contact the baby’s parents on 08075672060 and 08064966277 or the nearest police station with any useful information that could lead to the recovery of the child and possible arrest of the kidnapper.

Let us all pray for the safe return of this innocent baby!
