President Goodluck Jonathan yester-night hosted the victorious Nigerian Representatives to the 2012 London Paralympic Games at the presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja.
The president during the event gave a cash prize award of N5 million, N3 million and N2 million respectively to each of Nigeria's Paralympic Gold, Silver and Bronze winners.
The Olympians who returned without any medals will receive a cash reward of N500, 000 while officials will get N2.5 million each.
The President took the benevolence up a notch by declaring that each of the six paralympic Gold winners will be conferrred with National honour of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) on Monday, September 17th.
Falconets were not left out in this cash giving frenzy as each of them will receive a cash award of N1 million as a token of appreciation from the federal government while their coaches will smile away with N1,2 million each.
Now talk about true recognition!
