Its Friday again and one can breathe with the thought of the
two day break ahead (for those who don’t work weekends that is) from the usual
weekly hustle of work.
The week has been filled with moments we loved, hated and
some we wished didn’t come upon us but hey, this is the time to recollect. At the
end of the day, it would be a good exercise to go through our week starting
from Monday.
Think of the people you met, the words you used, the moments
you got angry, the happy moments, the time you spent doing something irrelevant,
new things learnt…. Generally, try to remember your week in as much detail as
you can.
How did you affect the lives of the people you came in
contact with either negatively or positively? What words did you use that
either made or marred someone’s day? What are those things that got you really
angry? Could the anger have been avoided? Who or what made you happy during the
week? What time did you spend doing something unproductive? What could you have
achieved with that time ‘wasted’? Did you learn anything new that could be
applied to your job or personal growth? What steps needs to be taken to apply
that new discovery or even improve on it?
Just take a little time out to mull over your week, discover
areas to make amends in; understand where you were wrong and if there is anyone
you should be apologizing to the following week.
When you have sifted through
your week and consciously plugged all the leaks, the weekend will indeed be a
relaxing one for you and on Sunday night, you won’t feel so bad that a new week
is beginning.
The week isn’t really over until you have put to bed all
your worries.
Enjoy the weekend!
