Just this morning, unknown gunmen lined-up 20 students of the Federal Polythecnic, Mubi and shot them dead. The police made this known today while a lecturer told the BBC that over 4o students had lost their lives.
Meanwhile, an explosive device which was targeted at the Joint Task Force went off in Maiduguri killing five people. You-know-who bombers suceeded in taking the life of an officer with the JTF patrol team while four other officers sustained serious injuries.

the JTF spokesperson, Lt. Col. Sagir Musa has said he is unaware of the incident but confirmed that there was an explosion in the area.
